5 Tips To Stay In Shape During Your Summer Holiday
We spend almost all year sculpting our body, trying to look great for that magical day, when we can finally flash our great bikini body.
Summer holiday comes, we go on trips, we show off proudly our great figure, and then after two weeks we start noticing that the bikini doesn’t look that great on us anymore.
So what happens? We simply let the guard down.
Eating healthy and exercising is a lifestyle and we have to stick to it even during the holiday trip. With a few tips we can enjoy our summer and stay in shape as well.
Don’t overindulge
Visiting new places comes with new flavors and new goodies. However keep in mind that you can try the special sweeties of the place, but topping it with sweet cocktails and ice creams is a no-no.
Limit your alcohol
It is important to keep yourself hydrated, but with water, not with alcohol. Beach parties or nights out are important parts of your holiday, but be careful with the cocktails. You might try to avoid drinking beer or shots, but fruity, healthy looking cocktails can add to your calories as well. Also skipping meals so you can overeat and drink plenty of alcohol at night isn’t the right solution.
One of the biggest mistakes is avoiding going to the toilet.
As silly as it sounds, many of us feel uncomfortable using a foreign toilet for more than peeing, which leads to bloating, constipation and discomfort. Daily bowel movement is a must, not only for your figure, but for your health as well.
Try adding food instead of depriving yourself from things you like
If you keep taking food out of your diet, you will see it as a hassle, but instead if you add new healthy food, or substitute the unhealthy ones, after a while you will get so used to it, that you won’t crave the old ones.
These apply on holidays as well, and try to enjoy every morsel you have, so you can avoid frustration and overeating. Remember portion control is very important.
Be active during the holiday. Don’t be a lazy; there are plenty of things you can do on a holiday. Take long walks, hike, and swim, rent a bike and reach your destinations by cycling.
