Baked potatoes

Baked PotatoI like baked potatoes because you can get a meal of one golden soft, tasty potato and it’s quite simple and easy to do.

You will only need:

  • potatoes;
  • oil;
  • salt;
  • an oven (the microwave oven is faster, but it destroys a lot of the nutrients and you don’t get the same crispy skin);
  • water and a brush or sponge for cleaning the potatoes.

Clean very good the potatoes, but be careful not to skin them. With a normal fork stab them deeply for 5-10 times, depending on the size.

Dry out the potatoes with a paper towel and heat up the oven. In a small bowl put a 5-6 spoons of oil and deep the potatoes. Salt them after that and arrange them into the oven. Bake for 1 hour or so, depending on the size of the potatoes. You will know they are ready when the skin is golden-brown and crispy. The potato should squish easily and be very soft on the inside.

Once it’s ready you only have to choose your topping. I like butter and cheese ( :D ) but you can use green salad, low fat cheese, grilled mushrooms, garlic, corn or anything you like.
