How many times you heard/read that cheese is not good for your diet?
However, what many people don’t know is that there are some types of cheese that can be successfully used in any diet plan.
Take, for example, cottage cheese.
Cheese in general is not recommended in weight loss diets because it has too many calories and fats.
The truth is that this particular type of cheese is healthy and can be a good friend when trying to lose a couple of pounds.
Cottage cheese is one of the dairy products that have the lowest number of calories, no matter if it’s the regular or light version. One cup of this cheese counts around 150 calories, depending on the type of milk used in the fabrication.
As for nutrients, one serving means about 28 grams of proteins. The idea is quite simple: a portion of cottage cheese can become a tasty and healthy snack or even part of one of your meals.
For example, the snack in the afternoon can be a couple of spoons of cottage cheese and one green apple. For dinner you could mix one serving of this cheese with 2 fresh tomatoes or one sliced cucumber. Add a little bit of oregano, the super-spice from the kitchen, and you have a tasty, healthy dinner on the table.
There are many interesting, healthy recipes that can be based on this type of cheese. The great thing is that cottage cheese can be combined not just with vegetables but also with fruits. Not to mention that it’s perfect before fitness workout.
I discovered that a couple of spoons and two or three salty crackers is all I need before workout. So, forget all the myths, all the stories you have heard so far and try it…the results will be visible in no time!
