| Category: Steaming diets, Strange Diets | 0 Comments

Night snackAs we all know, being on healthy diet includes avoiding eating late in the evening, before bed time.

Some of us respect that more or less, falling into the temptation once in a while.

I myself find it very difficult not eating after dinner, so I occasionally have a snack.

Most people end up eating late in the evening for various reasons: either because they’re too stressed or they lead such busy lives that sometimes they simply forget to eat during the day and only (more…)

The Cookie Diet

| Category: Diets, Strange Diets | 0 Comments

The Cookie DietA friend of mine recently told me that there is this fantastic diet where you can eat cookies every day. I couldn’t believe it so I had to see it for myself. I searched for cookies diet and I was amazed by my findings. In fact this diet is called after its creator Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet. What strokes me more is the fact that it is estimated that over 500,000 overweight people have lost weight with this wonder diet by now. I can see why it is so popular!

So what should we do to loose weight and eat cookies at the same time? I checked out Dr. Siegal’s website and I saw that this is actually not a (more…)

I know that there are several eating disorders like anorexia, bulimia and so on, but did you know that there is a new one caused by knowing too much? Well it is not all about knowing, it is more about trying to know, checking everything you eat and how much you eat.

Most specialists define this new condition, orthorexia nervosa, as an obsession. The term has been chosen in connection (more…)

The Fitflop

The FitflopIt looks like a regular flip-flop to me, but they (Darren James and Dr David Cook, the developers) call it The Fitflop.

There is a footwear phenomenon in the last years that promises far more than just comfort and style. I don’t know what happened to Fitness, Pilates or weight lifting, but it seems like now all you have to do is change your shoes.

The most recent sensation is the FitFlop, whose producers try to convince the public that it gives you longer and leaner-looking legs. (more…)

Human powered gymsMany though of using the energy produced in fitness centers, but a few have done it. California Fitness Gym from Hong Kong is the first gym that actually stores and uses the energy.

You Can Eat The Label Too

| Category: Nutrition, Steaming diets, Strange Diets | 0 Comments

Cookie LabelAndrewAndrew, a design firm, has created this cookie whose nutrition facts are printed right on it’s body, in edible ink.

This is the real cookie with the real nutritional facts printed on it and you can literally see the calories you eat.

Too bad not all cookies are like this one. If they were, maybe people might think twice about it before eating an entire box.

This particular one contains 35 grams of carb, which is the equivalent of almost a quarter of a cup of pure sugar and its calorie number (260) is equal to my breakfast’ calorie number. (more…)
