If you choose it wisely, a fast food meal does not necessarily mean bad food.
Since the American Heart Association recommends we only consume it two days per month, moderation seems to be the key factor of this diet.
There are always healthier choices you can make, no matter the place you choose to eat from.
Here are some tips you should consider to make healthier choices at fast food restaurants:

I was at a gym the other day, just having a quick workout between meetings.
I noticed at some point an overweight woman trying to exercise on a weight bench, but she soon realized it would be impossible: the bench was simply too narrow.
This got me thinking. Being overweight makes it difficult not only to lose those so many extra pounds; it also challenges you for other reasons:
- As said above, some machines cannot be used by obese persons; they are designed for people who are rather slim. However, fitness (more…)

There is nothing more fun than taking your family or pals to an outdoor archery game.
If played regularly, archery can help you burn the body calories, in a very fun way.
You do not need to be super trained to play it, however, certain field actions like shooting, may require a good health condition.

I’m currently experiencing a healthy food crisis!
Meaning, I’m bored with all the recipes I know how to cook and I don’t know what else to try.
Luckily, some of my friends are great at cooking and they always have something new and exciting up their sleeve.
So I’ve asked them to give me some ideas on new ingredients and recipes to try. I’m sharing, as always:
1. Shrimp
Shrimp are really healthy. For myself – who I’m not a big fan of meat – shrimp are the perfect alternatives. They are rich in vitamin D and B12 and (more…)

Most people would characterize the ideal weight as the weight you’re feeling most comfortable with.
However, I can’t say that I know that many people who actually feel comfortable with the way they look.
Most of them are dissatisfied by their body image.
Some of them have reasons and a lot of extra pounds for feeling like that, some of them don’t. That made me wonder: how much should we weigh and when should we stop dieting?
Without a doubt, I can say that nowadays we have to face a significant pressure to look as perfect as we can. All the models that we see in (more…)

Every woman has to face the PMS – premenstrual syndrome – almost every month.
I myself am one of the unlucky ones, but I’ve learnt that there are things we can do and foods we can eat to reduce or avoid completely the most common symptoms of PMS, like fluid retention, bloating, constipation or diarrhea, abdominal cramps (dysmenorrheal), headaches, muscle or joint pain, anxiety, irritability, fatigue and many others.
1. Have balanced meals
First of all, your meals should be frequent and in small amounts. Don’t (more…)

I can’t even remember how many times I’ve heard people say that when you’re on diet you must stay away from carbohydrates.
Also, a lot of diets have been invented around this myth, like the low-carb diet.
Cutting off carbohydrates is the main reason why most people give up on their diet so easily and also why they gain their weight back.
That is because carbohydrates are the body’s favorite fuel and without them it can’t function well. Avoiding them will result in a lack of energy (more…)
