Your moods determine your cravings
Our bodies are build to tell us what they need through the hunger or thirst sensations. That’s why you lust for something, because your brain tells you it needs that chemical compound that can be found in whatever you lust for. I’m not talking here only about physiological needs, because our brain is so complex, it knows what it needs to lift your mood too.
Dr. Oz says the following cravings could mean you are feeling these moods:
- Meat could mean you’re angry;
- Sweets might be a sign of depression;
- Ice cream might mean you’re anxious;
- Salty snacks could mean you’re stressed;
- Pasta might signal loneliness or sexual frustration;
- All of the above might mean you’re just a little bit jealous.
You must learn your body and must be able to make the difference between the real hunger and the emotional cravings. If you cannot defeat those cravings, you should take omega-3 fatty acids. The human body cannot synthesize omega-3 fatty acids from scratch, therefore, this essential nutrient must be obtained from food or from drugstores. The most widely available source of omega-3 fatty acids is cold water oily fish such as salmon, herring, mackerel, anchovies and sardines.
I think we’re having fish for dinner.
